Privacy Policy

Merit List does not use accounts, so we collect very little about you. This page explains what we collect when you submit a listing or place a bid, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Email address. Required when you submit a listing or top it up. It is stored against your listing so the operator can contact you about it.
• Payment details. Card, UPI, netbanking and bank-transfer details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway, Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card or bank credentials ourselves.
• Listing content. The name, URL, tagline and optional logo you submit for your listing are displayed publicly on the board by design.

What we use it for

• Your email address is stored against your listing so the operator can contact you about it — for example about a payment, a refund request, or a problem with the listing itself.
• Responding to support and refund requests you send us.
• Your listing content is published on the board, which is the point of submitting it.

We do not currently send any automatic email. Your receipt, your rank and your manage link are all shown to you on the site rather than mailed to you, and the manage link is shown once, immediately after payment — save it.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We do not share your email address with other listing owners or with third parties for their own marketing. Information is shared only with the service providers that operate the product itself — currently our payment gateway (Razorpay), for processing payments, and our hosting provider, for running the site.

Retention

We keep listing, bid, and invoice records for as long as needed to operate the board and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. Hall of Fame records are kept permanently, as they are the public historical record of past seasons.
